Here is how this works in practice. We give licensed aerial drone services for shoots filming across Austria, supplying camera ops and remote pilots who hold the EASA competency needed for the operation type each shoot demands. Civil drone activity is covered by Austro Control: operators register, missions fly to the Open or Specific type according to aircraft weight and the proximity of people and airspace, and Specific-type operations need an operational authorisation backed by a risk assessment.
