Here is how this works in practice. We supply colorists who deliver the final look of your project in Austrian grading suites. Our colorists work across feature films, episodic television, commercials and branded content, handling primary and secondary grading, shot matching, HDR and SDR deliverables, and conform alongside the online editor. We brief them on your reference frames, DP's intentions and delivery specs, then confirm suite openings against your post schedule. Vienna's post-prod facilities are equipped for DCI and broadcast deliverables.

Here is the short of it. Our colorists work fluently in English and German with global supervisors, whether the session is attended or remote. We contract under the Kollektivvertrag terms set by the Fachverband der Film- und Musikwirtschaft within the WKO. Set up the colorist with the DIT, editor and post-prod supervisor so the grade matches the DP's on-set intentions and lands on schedule for delivery.

Here is the breakdown. Austrian post-prod carries the imprint of the country's auteur cinema, where image is everything. The cinematographer Christian Berger. Michael Haneke's longtime collaborator and an Oscar nominee for 'The White Ribbon' — built a visual language of muted, controlled tone that runs through Austrian filmmaking, and colorists here are well versed in that restrained, naturalistic aesthetic.

Here is what that looks like on the ground. Productions graded in Vienna range from Jessica Hausner's precisely calibrated work, shot by Martin Gschlacht, to commercial campaigns and global co-productions supported by the Oesterreichisches Filminstitut and the Filmfonds Wien. Facilities at the Red Bull Media House and Terra Mater Studios handle high-end documentary and branded content to broadcast standard.

Here is the layout. The training pipeline runs through the Filmakademie Wien. Finished work screens at the Viennale and the Diagonale in Graz. Austria's colorists combine that craft heritage with today's grading technology to give each production a finished, considered image.
