Location Sound Packages

Here is how this works in practice. We build complete location sound packages for shoots across Austria, combining multitrack recorders, mixers, boom microphones, wireless lavalier systems, timecode hardware and tracking into a single recordist-ready kit. Inventory is sourced from Vienna-based rental houses, the centre of Austria's gear-rental market, with specialty units routinely fly-in from Munich, a four-hour drive away, since Austria sits inside the EU single market.

Here is what that looks like on the ground. Our team scopes channel counts and setup around each shoot's needs, whether a compact two-hander interior at Sievering Studios in Vienna, a large-cast dialogue scene in a heritage venue in the Historic Centre of Salzburg, or an exterior across the Salzkammergut lakes.

Each package is tested, frequency-scanned and delivered production-ready so the sound department captures clean tracks from the first slate.

Here is the short of it. Wireless elements in each location sound package — lavalier transmitters, IFB and camera-hop links — run on UHF range covered in Austria by the RTR and the telecoms authority, the Fernmeldebehörde, under EU-harmonised allocation. Our team sets up frequencies in advance so transmission stays legal and trouble-free in radio-dense central Vienna and at crowded event locations.

Here is the breakdown. Alpine and winter shoots — around Sölden in the Ötztal, on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, or across the Tyrolean Alps — call for cold-weather battery running, condensation control and windshield coverage against the Föhn warm dry alpine wind, all planned into the package.
